  • Scale Bets Proportionally with Bankroll Changes:

    • If your bankroll increases from $1,000 to $1,200, consider increasing your typical bet from $20 (2% of $1,000) to $24 (2% of $1,200).

    • Conversely, if your bankroll drops to $800, reduce your bet to $16 (2% of $800).

  • Decrease Bet Size When on a Losing Streak:

    • After a losing streak that reduces your bankroll by 10% (e.g., from $1,000 to $900), decrease your bet size proportionally.

    • If you were betting $20 per game, reduce it to $18 (still maintaining the 2% rule).

  • Gradually Increase Bets After Consistent Wins:

    • Following a winning streak where your bankroll grows by 15% (e.g., from $1,000 to $1,150), you can cautiously increase your bet size.

    • If you were betting $20 per game, you might increase it to about $23 (still around 2% of your new bankroll).

  • Avoid Chasing Losses with Larger Bets:

    • If you lose a bet of $20, resist the urge to place a significantly larger bet (like $40 or $50) in an attempt to quickly recover the loss.

    • This strategy can deplete your bankroll rapidly. Stick to the planned betting size of around 2% per bet.

  • Regularly Reassess Bankroll to Adjust Betting Strategy:

    • Schedule a monthly review of your bankroll.

    • If it grows by 20% (e.g., from $1,000 to $1,200), consider adjusting your bet size from $20 to $24.

    • Similarly, if it decreases, reduce your bet size accordingly to maintain the same percentage of your bankroll.

Incorporating these specific dollar and percentage examples helps to provide a clearer and more practical understanding of how to adapt betting strategies in response to changes in your bankroll.
